Kings Van Lines has had my furniture for a almost a month!Overall Rating

One star is too many, but it's the minimum requirement. Kings Van Lines (Van Nuys,Ca - Florida) quoted me $2400 maximum price for my move, once my stuff was on their truck, the price more than doubled! I am very unhappy with the service that I am receiving. My phone calls aren't answered since I paid them some money, now I have wait on a call back. My emails aren't responded to, except for one. They have had my furniture for 3 weeks now, I am sleeping on the floor and living without a refrigerator thanks to them. This has been a horrible experience, a horrible Christmas and New Years. They want $3200 more from me, yet they have all my career clothes for work. Wonder will I ever see my furniture again? I thought I was dealing with a reputable moving company, until I realized that their employees pose as customers and write fake customer reviews online. Plus, I checked their MC# 527166, and they are not a member of AMSA (America Moving & Storage Association). I was also told that I didn't have to pay for my move until the day my furniture was delivered, yet the day of the move they insisted on $2,000 cash upfront. The BBB finally made the moving co. give me a copy of my weight tickets...now I want a re-weigh, because they weighed the empty truck 2 days after my move, plus there was a distance of 400miles between both weigh stations, so I want to make sure I am not paying for fuel weight. Diesel fuel weighs 7lbs per gallon, and an 18-wheeler can hold anywhere from 60 gallons to 400 gallons of fuel. I wouldn't question the fuel weight had they weighed the truck the same day of my move right before picking up my furniture.
