Here's why I am a fan of Atom Movers

They weren't rude to me on the phone. In fact, Natalie (the sales person) was super friendly and helpful They speak english. Seriously, not that I don't like non-english speaking people, it just makes it easier to communicate. I actually paid what they estimated. Although they did break a few minor things, atom movers were more than willing to repair the goods.

I'm very surprised to read the negative reviews as I've used Atom Moving several times over the past few years for moves and storage. The customer service was great, the estimates are always accurate and the rates are reasonable. I've personally dealt with a few of the people at the office and all have been pleasant and helpful. I hope to not have to move again anytime soon but if I do, it will be with Atom Moving!

As if moving isn't stressful enough. Finding and trusting a mover is a horror story waiting to happen. Yay! There's a mover out there that you can believe, is exceptionally responsive, and offers unexpectedly good value. I used Atom for a recent interstate move. Having done this more than once before I knew what to look for upfront. I told Ariel, my salesperson, that our goal was to make sure there were no surprises on moving day - mostly the bill. He didn't want it either. So I kept revising the inventory when I could see there would be a change, and he kept re-estimating in no time. I realized that Atom has all their pricing streamlined in a database. It made re-pricing easy, but more importantly it meant that the costs were consistent. Translation: they weren't squeezing me for what they could. When the move came, my account was transferred seamlessly to Nir who was responsible for the move. The movers arrived when they said they would. They did their job without incident. I signed the paperwork with the final price, which was exact. Between steps Nir would call to coordinate and then would follow-up with an email to confirm. There were a couple small glitches. Although the foreman was helpful, competent, and experienced, he was not fluent in English. So sometimes it was hard to communicate details. Then we had a little bit trouble one day coordinating with the movers for the final delivery. They got there, were kind, and got the job done. Atom followed up the move with a customer service call from Nir -- not a gratuitous hourly without authority. He went the extra mile to make up for my small inconveniences. At the end of the day what matters is being able to work with your mover in good faith and to get all your things safely on the other side. I recommend Atom because they have smart people and a system that works. * Moving Tips: 1) "No surprises" is a 2-way street with any mover; 2) Always overestimate what you expect to move, because what you move is always more than you expect; 3) Don't assume the numbers will be exact, but it should be within reason if you moved what you said you would.
No Surprised from Atom Movers

I told my salesperson, that our goal was to make sure there were no surprises on moving day – mostly the bill. He didn’t want it either. So I revised the inventory every time I could see there would be a change – up or down. Atom streamlines pricing in a database, which made re-pricing fast and easy. More importantly, I knew I wasn’t playing chess. The movers arrived when they said they would. They did their job without incident. I signed the paperwork with the final price, which was exact. The move manager called to coordinate each stage and confirmed by email. Tiny issues: The foreman was helpful, competent, and experienced, but not perfect with English, which sometimes made it difficult to communicate details. Then we had a little bit trouble one day coordinating with the movers for the delivery. They got there, were kind, and got the job done. Our move manager made the follow-up customer service call -- not a gratuitous hourly without authority. He went the extra mile to make up for my small inconveniences. I recommend Atom because they have smart people and a system that works.

We recently used Atom moving for our cross country move from Boston to San Francisco area. We were moving from a 1-BR apartment and had a very good experience overall. Their quotes were very reasonable and actually cheap compared to a lot of other moving companies. Our moving agent, Natalie, was very courteous and helpful. They worked with us to give us most up-to-date quotes, and explained all charges to us. The three guys who came to pack our stuff were nice and professional. They packed our stuff properly in blankets and shrink wrap, and also accommodated our requests to pack some additional stuff in blankets at no extra charge. We had a few extra boxes on the day of our move, but they didn't charge us anything extra. Our stuff arrived in good condition, nothing broken, but we had a hard time co-ordinating with the driver. The driver called us to say he will arrive in the evening but he never called and didn't show up until next evening, and that too late in the night! And then he wouldn't deliver our stuff unless we agreed to long-carry charges.Our apartment is by the roadside but there is a short walk from the elevator to the door of our apartment. Since it was late in the night we paid them this extra money in order to get our stuff. But the next day I called up Atom moving and told the owner, Nir, what had happened. He himself said that the driver behaved unethically since long carry charges are applicable only if our apartment entrance was more than 70 ft from the truck, and so he would refund us the extra long-carry charges. The people at Atom moving themselves are very nice and responsible people but for long distance moves they contract some other small companies and that sometimes might be a problem. But in our experience Atom Moving works with the customers and does place emphasis on good customer service and building long term relationships. I would definitely recommend them to all my friends!
Pleasantly Surprised

I must say, finding a moving company in the Boston area is not hard, however, there are soo many shady companies out there! I booked with Atom Moving in the last minute and they were very flexible, met my schedule and gave me a great rate. The movers did show up a little late, but they did a great job with the move. Oh, they also slightly went over the estimate, but we were able to work something out without having my things held hostage.
