This was the most professional and pleasant experience I have ever had with a moving company. From the first day forward, each person I dealt with was knowledgeable and professional. The email responses to my numerous questions were prompt. They did a pick up at my elderly parent's house on one coast and delivered to me on another coast. My parents were very impressed that they didn't have to do anything and felt very well taken care of, which is huge. The delivery was exactly when they said it would be, the crew was professional and accurate. I highly recommend this company

I called Acclaimed Movers at least seven days before my moving. Acclaimed Movers assured that they were insured and that the insurance would cover any damages to my 7000$ TV. My credit card was charged with the $100 deposit the same day, but they did not provide me with a contract three days before the move as required by law. The day of the moving I wanted to confirm that my TV was covered by Acclaimed Movers insurance. The response I got was that according to the contract, which I never saw, the insurance only covers expenses of 60 cent per pound. With such insurance I would end up getting $90 for my $7000 TV if it was damages during the moving at the movers fault. I told them I would like to have an additional insurance for my TV. The answer I got from Acclaimed Movers was that it is impossible to get an additional insurance the same day as the moving. According to Acclaimed Movers it is only possible to get an additional insurance if you contact them three days prior to the moving date. At this stage, they told me my only option was to pay an extra fee and reschedule the moving to another day. I asked to speak with the owner of Acclaimed Movers, but they (James) refused to give me his/her contact information. Apparently it was against Acclaimed Movers company policy to let customers speak to the owner. Also, I received a final bill where they had charged several hundred dollars extra. This amount of money was referred to cost of wrapping etc. Lucky for me, the movers, which were not employees of Acclaimed Movers but independent contractors, where really nice and reliable guys that took extra care of my TV and all of my other heavy and expensive items. The handling of my case demonstrates Acclaimed Movers unwillingness to face the needs of the consumers as well as it fortifies Acclaimed Movers unprofessional and law breaking businesses.
