Best Price Moving and Storage is terrible. Do not use this company. They will lose and break your stuff and you will not get any money back or even an apology. I used them for my move from Chicago to Phoenix because the cost is about half what it would cost for me to rent a truck and move everything on my own. So Brian Slater came to my apartment, gave me an estimate, set up a move date, ect. He was very nice and helpful and even showed me how reputable the company was by showing me their track record online. Unfortunately I didn't bother to read all these bad Yelp reviews or else I would have known better. I was expecting my things to arrive at my new home within a few days but it took about a week and a half during which time I tried to contact them via phone and email and all I got was disconnected numbers, and the email address they have up on their website is not in use. My things finally arrive and the movers wont unload the truck until they get paid. They wont even let you see inside the truck until they get paid. I had only one box full of personal, breakable items on which I had written BREAKABLE in giant letters and sure enough there is a big dent in the box itself where it had been dropped and my irreplaceable items were shattered. Not only that but I never got my microwave, my blender, and most important a box of car parts from a 55 Chevy. I don't know if they were lost or stolen or what but 55 year old car parts are not easily replaced. This is the worst experience I've had with any company ever. I hope they go out of business so this doesn't happen to anyone else.

I'll just make a short comment on this company, they're great! I had to move because of work and I was scared because of all the horror stories I hear when people use moving companies, but I couldn't do it all by myself, so I went for it. They quoted me for 800 dollars and the actual bill was 804.36, which is soooo close! They also said it would take 5 days for delivery, and it only took 5 days, I was so sure they would be late but nope they rocked it! Also all 45 of my boxes made it in one piece with everything inside in good condtion! I was so grateful!

I also used Best Price for my recent move from Wisconsin to New Mexico. I grew up in New Mexico and moved away when I was a teen because my Mother had a career opportunity in Wisconsin. Now that I’m older and re-connecting with old friends, I found myself wanting to move back to Albuquerque, not only for my friends but as an athletic trainer, there are plenty of jobs here for me. Unlike in Wisconsin where it’s very cold all the time, I feel like more people are active outdoors in the warmer weather. So long story short, I found a job at the junior college and needed to move there fast in order to be on board for the baseball season and football training. I found best price while looking on the internet for a mover and they had a competitive price. But when they told me they could give me a small discount on the packing I was sold! The other companies were charging a boatload for packing materials and I didn’t want to have to deal with it. The move went well, they packed everything really nicely and nothing was damaged from the move. I am very happy with the service I received and I’ll recommend this company to any of my athletes that will be moving here in order to play their sport here.

I can’t even begin to tell you how wonderful this move went for me! Moving out of my apt. in Chicago and going to NY was stressful enough but when I made the decision to move there in order to find work, I didn’t even take into consideration how I was going to get my stuff almost half way across the country. My family and friends all supported me but as much as they would have liked to helped, it’s hard for anyone to find time anymore when everyone is trying to work as much as they can these days to make money. I quickly figured that I was going to have to find a professional mover to make this move happen. I searched for a local company figuring the cost would be more reasonable and I stumbled upon Best Price Moving and Storages website. I was in no real rush to move at this point so I filled out the questionnaire directly through the site which asked very specifically about each item I was planning on taking and where I was planning on moving. The next day I got a call from one of their representatives saying that being located within miles of my apartment that they would be able to give me the most cost effective price. This was music to my ears! I put down a deposit and everything else is history. I now live in NY and am really happy with my decision and thanks to Best Price, all my belongings are all with me in one piece!

Stay away from Nationwide Relocation Services (NRS) and Best Price Moving and Storage. They have rip off scams down to a science. No one comes out to give an intelligent estimate - they expect you to know how much you have. Will not follow federal regulations, show up late, give you a 15 day delivery window then don't deliver. they will also refuse to re-weigh your stuff if you question their weight. When you try to assert your rights under Federal law, they keep your belongings hostage and try to rip you off for 200% more than the binding estimate. They have made this cross country move a nightmare and my husband has taken to calling them "The Sopranos." Run - don't walk - in the OPPOSITE DIRECTION before you ever accept service from these companies.

Initially, when we were planning the move, they were great. Brian gave us a special deal because a friend referred us. Every call/e-mail was returned in 48 hrs. Once the movers showed up, the experience changed. First of all, they ran out of blankets. The movers actually discussed going back to get some more and decided against it. Secondly, they decided against using the couch cover Brian advised us to buy. My husband decided to get the extra insurance - from which we are still waiting to get reimbursement. We moved from IL to CT and when our stuff arrived, I actually cried. We had two dressers and both of them ended up with busted drawers. Our couch got a big, black stain. One bookcase had a leg and shelf cracked into two pieces. A bedside table my grandfather made had a massive gouge in it - one of the pieces of furniture they decided not to wrap once they ran out of blankets. My grandfather is a woodworker and he said it is too deep to sand out. They broke a fan, broke the computer tray on my desk, and scratched 2 other wooden pieces of furniture. This was my first big move, so I'm not really experienced at packing. I packed all my china and breakables myself. Everything I packed made it without a problem - save one chipped tea cup. I felt reassured that having them pack our furniture was a good move. But almost everything we payed them to pack came back to us damaged. The worst thing is that once we paid the movers (by the way - they want the money before they unpack and show you the damage) we NEVER heard back from them. It seems like they used caller I.D. to screen their calls. We called and e-mailed to every number we could find. We have yet to hear back from anyone. We left messages that have never been returned. They're scam artists that know exactly what to say to get your service. Getting the extra insurance does you no good. If they destroy a bookcase that you spent 150 dollars on, you get 15$ back.

Moving Consultants that is the company who does all the sales for Best Price. Unregistered and unlicensed Broker who does not have any license to operate in the state of Illinois. Order number 38642 Milwaukee WI to Charleston SC Move Date 10/28/08 I have moved 4 times in the last 6 years and I have to say that moving is never a pleasant experience. I expected whoever I hire to come in, charge me a little more than they quoted, and break a few of my things in getting my stuff to my new place. I only selected Best Price Moving because I felt most comfortable speaking with their initial contact guy Nick. I was pleasantly surprised when I hired these guys to move me on my last move from Milwaukee Wisconsin to Charleston South Carolina. They came in my apartment and meticulously packed up my stuff paying such attention to detail and they were gone within 3 hours. I can't remember the names of the guys but I do recall their on site bosses name was Benny. This guy had a way with people. I would recommend to anyone moving with these guys to request this guy in the crew of guys. He made me forget about all the things I was stressing out about that morning. They delivered my stuff in 5 days and to my disbelief I had nothing damaged or missing!!! Again, Benny you're the man!!!! Best Price Moving was a little off on my estimate though. They estimated my things to weigh 2000 lbs and in the end I payed for 2138 lbs. So my price did go up a bit which I wasn't necessarily happy about although considering past experiences it wasn't outrageous and I still felt the quality of the service was well worth the little extra I payed in the end.
Furniture arrived wet/moldy & had been a home for rodents!

Not only did this company tell me my stuff would be delivered withing 9 days to my new location (lie), they never told me it would sit in storage for 2 weeks, where my oak desk and cherry armorie sat in wetness and molded. The horror: About half way through the unloading, I noticed my leather chair was wet, then a couple of boxes were wet. When I said something to the driver, he immediately said "not from my truck, had to be from the storage facility." (where it should have never been to begin with). At this point I am looking closely at everything, so when he brought in my computer desk I noticed immediately that the bottom was wet with mold covering the side, front, & inside of the desk. Next came the base to my armorie that was also wet & moldy, and when they cut the tape & blanket away, it was full of nut shells where an animal/rodent had been living! DISGUSTING!! That's when I lost it. Of course my stuff was delivered on a Saturday, so I could not reach anyone at BP. I left a frantic message, and of course my call was never returned. I now have furniture with THOUSANDS of dollars worth of damage. I have several end tables with mold, scratches, and gouges. My dining room table came in covered in a film of oil/grease, my freezer arrived with the inside completely covered in mold. My water cooler is completely yellow and discolored. My once perfect furniture is now junk and I'm sure I have a long road ahead of me to have it fixed/replaced & a fight with BP to pay for the damage they caused.

What ever you do please don't use Best Price Moving, this has been the most horrendous experience I've encounter in my life. It started when I was guaranteed my overage for the same amount, well when the guys who barely spoke English arrived it was totally different, and to my surprise it was an additional amount for more than 24 stairs. The owner waived that cost and once I showed her the original quote she had to honor the per pound rate. My furniture was to be delivered on 8/9/08 I didn't received until 8/13/08 and my dresser was broken. Once they have your business and money they are not interested in dealing with you any further. I was also told they don't contract out well my move was contracted out to another moving company. I was also told by the manager I could pay my balance by credit card, well of course that changed with the movers arrived. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !!!!!!!!!!!

This was the worse moving experience ever. The movers were 2 hours late on delivery but charged me 300.00 because they didn't start on time (go figure) overcharged me stating because I had 1 flight of stairs and according to Best Price policy one flight if stairs is free of charge! They over charged me by 600.00, had me pay in cash and tried not to give me a receipt stating it would be ok. The one dude asked for a tip, many items were broken and I never even got my coffee table. Many boxes had water damage and when I called them about the over pricing, they kept transferring me to the Claims department who told me to file a complaint, which I did and they only told me I could have 37.00 for my damages totally ignoring the fact that my entire complaint was the over charged scam and not the damaged items. All I know is I will never be using a moving company again after this...and for all you single ladies out there moving..MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A WITNESS WHEN HANDING OVER THE MONEY AND GETTING THE RECEIPT. These guys are con artist and I hope they get caught

Best Price requested to pick up my move a day early and that was well over a month ago and I am still waiting on my furniture. Gabe my sales person totally misrepresented the company and how the delivery system works. I have left numerous messages and no one has had the courtesy to call me back. I hope that all of my items show up when they do get here. Either way I am going to sue for monetary restitution for living on an air mattress for over a month. I could have stayed in my home state and kept working had I known it was going to take this long. Gabe in sales told me that my furniture would arrive 7-10 days after pick up and on the email estimate it said fuel fees were included. Now they want extra for fuel and Gabe also did not tell me that there was a minimum weight, I only had 1660 Lbs and I am paying for 2000 Lbs. I am VERY UNHAPPY and I will make sure that everyone knows how badly this moving company does business! Look for this case on TV because I want them exposed!

stay away from nationwide relocation in Florida and best price moving and storage of Illinois. low balled estimate, tried to say it weighed 3000 pounds more, didn't get the so called re-weigh with me witnessing, and some guy from anthem claim management called and demanded i wire transfer them money to get my stuff, without even seeing it. file complaint with dot, better business bureau, 3 police reports in three different state's, now i'm filing a complaint with the attorney general in Illinois. stay away. and whoever the idiot is that posted the five star rating saying a Brian came out to there home. your high no one comes out it's all done over the phone and the internet. hey go look on ripoff.com about these companies the stories get worse.I am also filing an internet fraud complaint. the dot is a joke these guys shouldn't even have a license. stay far far away.

This moving company is such a joke...Worst moving experience ever. Over priced for the amount of work they put in. I had a delayed pickup, my things sat in storage for a month and many items damaged, and of course a delayed delivery. Never received any copies of weights like both Nationwide Relocation (the joke moving company we payed to contract Best Price) and Best Price told we would receive. "We were overweight." Their customer service was terrible and the movers were the most unprofessional and useless people I have ever been around. I would have been better off doing it myself - I would have saved money and most importantly saved time! I can't believe they are still in business because they should not be!! Anyone reading this. Check back in a few days.....They will have someone from their business posted a 5 star report after mine. They do this on all reviews - pretty sad they have to pay someone to monitor their business via web and post positive lies!!

This moving company was friendly over the phone and in person. They had to come back to finish our move-what an inconvenience. The movers lost several pieces, and broke or damaged more than they lost. I would not recommend this moving company.

Thank God for finding me Best Price Moving! They definitely had the lowest price, and gave me the most helpful information. Gabe Toress explained to me how to look up companies through Safersys.org, Protectyourmov.gov, and the MFCSA. He was very informative and polite. I would recommend anyone to check out Best Price Moving & Storage. PS. Looking at the recent review, i notice the name is Topsy Kret. I found no originality in the name besides the fact they may be obsessed with Jim Carey and watch the movie "23" many times. Topsy Kret is normally spell Top Secret. Sounds it out. It sounds looks like a real name, but you can tell someone is bashing this company for a job they could not get. To all Moving Companies, grow up and find God soon.

all i can say is this, stay away!! the actual movers were wonderful but even their positive attitudes couldn't help the fact I had been ripped off and lied to by the sales. My husband wanted the cheapest price, and we got what we paid for!!! The salesman Brian promised me they would disassemble everything, including my sons backyard play pen but failed to tell anyone in the company i had it. When i told the salesman that everyone else was quoting me higher weight, he assured me they were wrong, he was the best and the most professional. 2000lbs overweight, and he says hes the best. Delivery was longer then i thought but reasonable. It was the sales that got me. Wrong weight, told me free packing with bubble wrap tape and all, paid 900 and then when I called Brian on the day of the move, he put me on hold and made other people tell me he was in a meeting. Hours later he told me they had my stuff and I was not allowed to move with anyone else. BEWARE!!!! I was stupid and didn't read the laws, WHICH THEY NEVER GAVE ME A COPY OF!! The movers were kind but the office and sales made me feel terrible. I am filing with the DOT because they did not give me a reweigh and demanded the full balance and not 100%. SCAMMERS!!!

What can I say about Best Price beside that they were the best price? It started with Brian coming to my condo to do an onsite survey. He showed up in a pink shirt, I wasn’t sure if it was him or some guy trying to sell me insurance. Brian was very professional and answered all my questions. He told me about U-Haul to get my materials for a cheaper price. I am not cheap. I want the best! I wanted custom boxing for my cloths that require hangers, my children’s clothes in Wardrobe boxes, my wife’s wedding dress in its own box, and my 52’ Flat screen to not get cracked or broken. I was paying for full service packing, but I needed boxes, for my wife’s unmentionables. I do not want movers going through things that are only for my eyes. Brian had a great personality and we got off to a great start. He took the onsite survey, told me what needs to be packed, and told me a rough weight he believes the items weight. He later got to his office and faxed me a descent price quote. He also faxed me information on Moving Insurance and Map Quests directions to his warehouse. I went to the warehouse where I was given a tour, and actually watch the movers break down the loads for a bigger truck. I was very impressed, and gave me deposit on the spot. Two days before my move date, I saw Brian pull up to my building in a red SUV, and proceeded to deliver me my boxes for my wife’s belongings. That is wonderful customer service. I do recommend Best Price Moving & Storage for everyone’s moving needs.

So, when faced with the task of choosing a mover I must admit this is a difficult task. I was choosing between to local movers here in Chicago IL ASAP VAN LINES and Best Price Moving. I decided to choose Best Price when I discovered that ASAP Van lines falsifies the weights of the customers and ripping them off according to a legit website called the consumerist.
