worst moving nightmare

When moving from MD to IL, I decided to contract Legal Transportation Movers. However, I must say I regret this decision as much as you can imagine. Here are my reasons: When I received my things, I had to go to get them cash. They refused to take a money order from J.P. Morgan Chase bank. They left and did not return until I had cash ready for them. I was told that the elevator was broken and they will leave immediately. The elevator was still stocked with some of my items, I knew there things missing and asked them to get them for me. The movers finally got more of my items and place them next to the elevator in the parking garage. After an argument with management in my building complex, they began to run to the truck. I called the main office; to my surprise they backed the story from the movers. They said they refused to get everything in my apartment because I lived in the 8th floor. I live in the 2nd floor! The movers vomited around the stair case and the elevator. I was told that if I wanted them to go back I would have to pay more money. They told me that they could do nothing about my items for that day. I refused to let things in a public parking garage and had someone else move the items for me to my apartment. The next morning some laborers came in to put my furniture in place, however they had no tools, some items were missing and left most of furniture not setup. I called the moving company again to claim compensation asking for my losses. I was offered $140 (they throw some extra money because of the hassle they caused!!), when my estimated loss was of $500, not including hassle. They said next time to buy more insurance. I never took into account having the movers running away with some of my furniture!! I felt they were mocking me and did not complete the claim. I guess one thing they said the moving company did was to suspend the movers for 6 months. Think twice before hiring this moving company, and if you do, make sure you buy enough insurance.
