In business to collect depositOverall Rating
Mover reviewed by Frank on 11/04/09

They were recommended by the moving company and collected the deposit of $395 from my credit card ten days before pickup. The day of pickup I asked for the drivers name and number. His name was Fred and they gave me his number and said he was about an hour and a half away and i could call him myself. I spent the day calling Fred, who never answered, and the office, who said to continue calling Fred. It was the most stressful and cruel experience. Fred still have not showed up. It was a Friday, their office is not open on Saturday or Sunday. My family was flying out on Monday morning. If they had the decency to communicate with me I could have arranged to leave my car with relatives or friends for the pickup. They refused to give me my deposit back. Citing their fine print. Even though I believe I followed the contract. I don't believe the intended to pick up my car after they got the deposit. To this day no one has called to ask if the car is still to be shipped. I say dont walk, run from them.

Do not honor their term and conditionOverall Rating

Do not use this company. However, if you choose to you will regret it. We scheduled an out of state transport for our vehicles and was told that our schedule pick-up date should be 3 days prior to the pick-up date to allow for time to notify the driver. Three days before the pick-up date we got a call from the driver saying he wanted to pick up our cars and deliver them in the new state within 24 to hrs. We informed him that we would'nt be at the new location for 3 days (based on terms and conditions vehicles would be delivered between 3 and 5 days). The company stated that if they reschedule this trip it will cost us an additional 150.00. This is not a good campany to use. The only way you don't run into a problem with this company is that you can receive your vehicle based on their time frame.

I LOVED Allegiance Auto!Overall Rating

I recently hired Allegiance Auto as my broker to find a carrier to move my two cars - it was the best decision I've ever made! I don't know what the poster below me is talking about, but I would use Allegiance again and again. I spoke with Jim and he set up the whole move with me. He was very kind and funny. :)

No SurprisesOverall Rating

I chose Allegiance Auto because of the overall great reviews they have on this site. Another reason is because they have a very good rating with the BBB. And the last reason is because their price was very competitive with the other companies. Asher, my representative was very clear when explaining how the pick up process works and everything went as expected. There were no surprises and no hidden fees (like some of the stories I have read on this site with other companies). Allegiance really followed through on their promises and I appreciate all of their hard work.

A New SolutionOverall Rating

I had contracted with a different broker to move my car from North Carolina to Texas. I paid them a deposit over two months in advance but they could never get the car picked up when I needed. I waited almost a month until I could not wait any longer. I then contacted Allegiance and spoke with Joe. He was very helpful in taking my order and even found a driver to pick up my car the day after I made the order with him. My car was picked up in the end by a sub contractor that Allegiance Auto found. I wish I would have contacted them sooner, but at least my car was finally shipped. Thanks for helping me out of this bind.

BEWARE they will take the deposit and never deliver the serviceOverall Rating

Cost of enclosed transport from MA to MD - $600 Advance deposit paid on for promised pick up - $295 Service performed - NEVER Refund deposit - NEVER Reason for no refund - fine print, processing fee THIS WILL HAPPEN TO YOU IF YOU MAKE THE MISTAKE OF USING THEIR SERVICE. The essentially promised to pick up my car by a certain date before I was leaving MA but never did. They even told me that perhaps I should leave my BMW with a neighbor or a friend with no guarantees of pick up. What was I supposed to do leave my car and if they never performed the service, should I revisit MA all the way from MD to arrange for pick up with another transport company.

Our vehicles supposed to be pick up on 08/28/2009 but they still sitting in Missouri when I'm already in Connecticut 3 days ago. As they promised, the car should be in CT on the 2nd of Sept. but as up to now, the cars are still in MO. I called Allegiance a dozen times a day but all I heard was we are still looking for drivers. I had a chance to talk to the manager only one time and she promised to get back to me within an hour but she never did. Since then, I could not get a hold of her. Left a message ask her to call back ASAP but nothing happened. They always have a reason every time I try to get a hold of the manager. Either she's at the meeting, out to lunch, not at her desk and so on.... It seems like she's ignoring the problem here. jAs up to now, I don't know what happening to my cars. They're still sitting in MO and I'm not sure if they're still in one piece. If you're looking to ship your autos, doesn't matter how cheap Allegiance offers, DON"T let them ship your autos. They're a bunch of liars......

Moving our carOverall Rating

I needed to get my car moved to our new home on a certain date due to the fact that my husband started his new job before we all moved. So we needed our car shipped before our household goods arrived. Our moving company recommended Allegiance Auto to move the car. Their quote was very reasonable and we paid a little extra to guarantee the dates. Barbra was diligent in finding a contractor that could meet our specific needs and time frame. I would not hesitate to use them again in the future. (although it looks like we’re at our new home for good this time :-)

My shipment for my daughters SUV was handled professionally and in a timely fashion. I spoke with Joe and Annie, who were helpful and always available when I needed them. I have already made arrangements with them to ship the SUV back home from college next summer.

I placed an inquiry on the internet and within hours I had several bids for transporting my vehicle. There were varying price ranges for hauling my car from $475 to $750, Alegiance came in between. The selling factor was that Alegiance was able to get a driver to pick up my car within 2 days of my initial internet inquiry. The driver that was chosen was friendly, knowledgeable, honest and helpful. I will definitely contact them again for future services.

Allegiance quoted me a price, took my deposit and called me days later and said it would cost me more if I wanted to ship my car. They are a broker and give you an estimate then put out a bid to see if a trucking co. will transport your car for that amount, if not you pay the difference. the trucking co. was days later picking up my car because i would not leave the keys in my car so they could pick it up at midnight.they were to deliver my car to my daughter sat morning but called to say they were running behind, rescheduled the delivery and did not show again. as of sunday night i do not know where my car is and i have not heard from anyone since sat morning. i must assume my car has been stolen. i am meeting with the roanoke councy sheriff's department tomorrow at 1:00 to report the car as stolen. The Broker Broke My HeartOverall Rating
Mover reviewed by James on 02/06/09

I researched several companies prior to my move, and Allegiance Auto Shipping had very fair price, or "Christmas Special" as was told to me. I decided because of the reviews I had read and the nicety of the rep, that these guys would be reliable and professional. Well, I must admit when I am wrong. I was contacted several times about making my deposit, and so that my truck could secure a spot on the carrier, I placed it via credit card. I heard nothing from the rep until I called him six times. (I have my phone record to authenticate my correspondences.) My truck was supposed to be shipped on January 2, because I was moving to NY on the 5th. My truck stayed in Alabama until the 12th, and when I called to check the transport status, I consistently either didn't get a return my call or was provided empty promises. I had to spend hundreds of dollars on a rental until my truck FINALLY arrived on the 15th. The most heartbreaking part of this all is that the rep who originally placed my order NEVER called me back nor did he respond to my emails. Another rep (Aldi) felt so badly for me that he took over and stated that no money would be made from the deal since I was so severely inconvenienced, BUT I would have to pay the driver an EXTRA $200 once my vehicle arrived. So, the $495 contract I signed and faxed was no longer honored. The transport amount was now $695. After receiving my vehicle, I called Allegiance to retrieve my deposit, talked to a Customer Service Rep, and she informed me that a manager would call me back. That was 2/2/09. It is now 2/6/09. I am glad I didn't hold my breath. Please consider my plea when I suggest for you to look elsewhere for your auto shipping needs.

Don't deal with them! They will make you pay extra money than the quote and will delay the shippingOverall Rating
Mover reviewed by Adarsh on 09/02/08

Don’t deal with them!!!! To get the order, they will send you a reasonable quote. They have sent me a quote for $885 from CA to TX for a 2005 Chevy Impala. Once you make the deposit payment, they will just ignore you. And it will become your responsibility to ping them daily to know the status of the shipping. One guy (Marc, Extn 107) promised me over the phone that they would pick up my car with in 4 to 5 days in worst case scenario. Even after two weeks, when I called them, they were saying that no drivers are available; we are just brokers and still trying to find a driver because San Jose, California is a remote place  and I was really surprised. Finally, after 11 BUSINESS DAYS (15 normal days), one guy (Gill, Extn# 106) called me and said one driver is available and I have to pay $160 extra, if the car needs to be picked up. Otherwise, I can go ahead and cancel the order. Remember, if you cancel after 14 business days, they will still charge 5% and it would definitely take some more time for you to give the order to some other shipping company and to get the car shipped. Finally, you would be forced to pay the extra money and become FOOLS!!! However, since I didn’t have much time, I have paid them $1045 for the car to be shipped. (The agreed amount was $885). And I have received my car after 19 days for $1045. Beware; this is how their business runs. I really don’t know why people give them high rating. May be the positive ratings have come from the company staffs itself. I have never written a review before. But, Allegiance service made me write this review. If you still don’t believe and want to become fools, go ahead and deal with them. And I am sure that you would finally put a bad review, if you select them. My recommendation is to select a direct carrier (not a broker) and pay the deposit only at the time of pick-up.
