Most Unprofessional con artist of all times!Overall Rating

When I first spoke with this company, they were very nice on the phone and promised me the world. Well, what a night mare after I booked the move with them. When they were coming to pick my things up, they were about 6 hours late and kept giving excuse after excuse. When they finally arrived, my friend who's house my things were at, said the drivers were very shady and one could hardly speak english. They were scoping out her garage and touching her husbands tools and were just very unprofessional. I was told that my things would get from California to Florida, at first it was 3 days, then 7 days, then 10 days. It is now 14 days and they are supposed to come today and I am waiting. When I called theoffice to check on the day of arrival, the office manager, started screaming at me and called me every name in the book and told me that if he could, he would make sure my things got here as late as possible, would charge me an extra $1000, and then he flipped and told me that I would never see my things, that he was calling the driver and telling him to put my things on the side of the road. This has been a night mare for me and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Please do not use this company and get sucked into their decption!

Do not under any circumstances ever consider using this company. Uncooperative, late, dishonest, sloppy, careless.

$4,200 for a local move! Same complaints about packing when asked not to, emptying drawers into boxes and not labeling, wrapping everything with cartons because of not having furniture pads and too few wardrobes. The bill included $2,400 for the cartons. I checked the U=Haul website and could have bought the same boxes for $477.00 (retail). We will get our money back! CPUC first and then, if necessary, Small Claims Court. We have about 50 pictures that clearly show the extravagance of their packing "technique". We moved from two houses to one. Most of the move was 1/2 mile!

Horrible Movers who will Rip you OffOverall Rating

I moved locally with this moving company. The movers arrived with a truck with no ramp even though they knew that we were moving a fully furnished home, including a refrigerator, and a washer and dryer. They wasted hours having us unload all items from dressers and nightstands. They tried to get us to use their packing supplies which they charge for when we needlessly removed all these items. The worst fraud that they pull is charging for packaging supplies. I did not agree to pay for any packaging supplies and informed the driver of this when I signed the contract prior to them starting the move. However, when I was not watching them, the movers chose to wrap my appliances, old TVs, and even a lamp that I specifically told them not to wrap. Then at the end, the packaging supplies cost amounted to more than the moving costs. My final call to the manager/owner during the move was to disagree with the packaging fees. The owner stated to me that because I initialed the contract that using their packaging supplies would be extra, I had agreed to all their packaging. That is just dishonest and fraudulent. He also told me that by law he was required to pack appliances in boxes. This simply is untrue. Finally, we found out once we arrived and unpacked these items, that the moving company had simply reused cardboard boxes for which to charge for this packaging. At no time did the moving company ever disclose what they were charging for. Nor did it ever provide a price list or any kind of inventory list once we were charged over $900 for the packaging (used, cut-up cardboard boxes). I have hired 4 licensed California moving companies in the last 2 years. None of them ripped me off. You need to continue to report these fraudulent practices to the Better Business Bureau and the California Public Utilities Commission. In addition, take them to small claims court and get your money back. Do not let this moving company get away with these practices.

I hired this moving company through the internet. I wished I had look at this website before I hired them. I will never use them again and advice others not to. I am still in dispute about the charges. I have the same complaints that others have, they make you sign bunch of paperwork and the person does not speak English and could not explain things better. They wrapped EVERYTHING, even though I told them not to. My son injured himself a week before his move. He is 22 years old and owned stuff that should belonged to the dump. They were not fragile or anything, but this mover insisted on wrapping them up! My son had approximately 18 big items to move and they wrapped them all up, broken, stinky, and all. In short, I paid over $400 for shrink wrapping which they say on their website is free. And then paid for over 4 hours of labor which should have taken less than 3 hours if they have not wrapped/packed things up. They surely took their time! Then the movers claimed they packed dishes, lamps, etc. which they did not. I am taking this moving company to small claims court, and have already filed my complaint through BBB, FTC and a website called Complaint.com. I will do anything, everything to let people know this moving company is committing fraud by overcharging the public. DO NOT BELIEVE WHAT THEY ADVERTISE ON THEIR WEBSITE.

Nobody likes to be cheated, extorted and left helpless. And its exactly what you feel after dealing with Continental Express. They were unprofessional, amateur and rude. Their money extortion started as soon as they appeared at my door. The driver quickly got upset because I resisted paying upfront and refused to sign the contract papers without explanation. I was charged $27 as fuel surcharge for moving to an opposite building. I called their office for explanation of these ridiculous charges. But no matter how much you argue, they work as a team leaving you helpless. Canceling their service after they have arrived is useless as well since you are now subject to cancellation charges. After loading the truck, he demanded more money for moving to a second floor unit despite being aware of it earlier. I showed him their email quote that clearly mentioned - No extra charge for stairs and/or elevator. He threatened to leave with the furniture in the truck if didn't cough up the extra money. They dragged my sofa and mattress and threw other item in and out of the truck. On asking for damages, he refused to pay anything and complained about the narrow stairs. In answer, I refused to sign the delivery complete papers as well. He raised his voice and cried out loud that I was wasting his time and would be subject to more charges. The damages issue is still unsettled and I will pursue to until they pay. But beware before you put your hand into a dogs mouth.

I should have known something when the movers indicated that before they unload the truck, I would have to pay. Review carefully everything that you sign for this moving company. Do NOT have the movers pack anything. They charged me over $1200 in packing charges(and got away with it). Not only do they charge you extra charges for their packing, the movers get extra labor for how long it takes them to pack the items. It seems to be a lucrative racket for them. I have moved through legitimate movers 4 times over the past 7 years and found that this was the worst one I ever dealt with. Do not let the price fool you. I will be following up with a BBB complaint and California complaint on their predatory behavior.

Wouldn't recomend this moving companyOverall Rating

I was promised the movers would show up at 11am, they showed up at 3pm. The movers were rude and didn't speak English. I was asked to sign/initial about 6 pages of paperwork, and the movers didn't speak English enough to explain them to me when I had questions. I tried to call headquarters, no one answered and the movers didn't know what time the offices closed. The movers took their sweet time, used an exorbitant amount of packaging materials (which I was responsible for paying for after the fact), and they charged me $75 for "gas" when my two apartments were less than 5 miles apart. They took a big chunk out of my dresser and tried to leave when my kitchen table and dresser were still in pieces. The movers would disappear constantly during the move and once when i went to find them, they were sitting in their car on their cell phones having a smoke break. On my time and money. Would NOT recommend this moving company.
