Totally Worth Every Dollar!!

My move began when I contacted vanlines.com in order to get moving quotes. I spoke with multiple reps from many companies and chose BR Movers on account of the efficient answers to my questions and an all inclusive package. I checked out reviews and while there were no companies out there with 0 bad reviews, BR Movers had many positive reviews as well as being able to provide references! I can see why customers have stood by this company. The following are the reasons why I rate BR Movers as SUPERB: 1. The movers were scheduled to arrive between 8 and 10 in the morning and they arrived at 9:07 am. (Perfect) 2. The head mover of the moving crew spoke perfect English, and immediately got to work on explaining everything to me. 3. After updating what I told the company about my inventory (removed a television, added 3 lamps and a painting I forgot), the movers gave me the updated total BEFORE the move began. 4. The original quote included Full Packing Service so I would not have to pack or pay anything over the quote for materials. On the date of the move, the movers did just that. They packed all of my belongings like they actually cared. 5. The total amount I paid was exactly what we agreed upon. 6. The movers were amazing - no laziness or smoke breaks - amazing. The items have now been delivered and I can verify that there is nothing broken or missing from my household. The movers also offered me recommendations on other reliable services since I would be renting out my home here on the east coast. All in all, BR Movers held up their end of the bargain and gave me the service I deserved. Thank you.
bullies that overcharge

Horrible. 1) They said they would be there between 8 and 10 and showed up close to 11:00 2) We were charged for the time that they stopped for a sit down lunch and for the time that the foreman had a break down (1 1/2 hours total @ $100 per hour) 3) We were overcharged by double the amount of our quote 4) The foreman was verbally aggressive and threatened to leave with our stuff if we did not pay the overpayment

My experience with this company was horrible. I was shocked because my wife had said she read a few good reviews of this company, but when I told this to one of the workers on my job (the only one who was nice and actually worked non-stop), he smiled and hinted that the supervisor writes some of his own reviews online. I wouldn't trust any of these "short and sweet" reviews. This company stinks.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY- they... This company stole some of my things and held them hostage. They came in with the lowball costing for my move across the country, then doubled the price when they arrived before promptly attempting to extort more out of me. Please read the reviews on these guys- the customer service reps are nice until they have your money and then they turn nasty. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and I encourage everyone available to contact the government to shut this group down. They are shady, they use unethical business practices, and they steal your money. I am now out over $1000 for my troubles with no apologies after late drivers damaged my stuff. DO NOT USE!!

I am more than satisfied with BR Movers! They helped in my recent move to the midwest - the items arrived within 11 days and everything is in one piece! The cost was low, what else could I ask for!! AMAZING JOB GUYS!!

Very good! BR Movers' movers were great with my kids on the day of the move! They were polite and careful to not step on tiny toes and didn't try to rip me off! What a great family owned company - if you need to move, don't even bother looking, just go with BR Movers and save yourself the time and money!
NEVER use BR Movers

Very nice rep who went through a checklist of all my items to be moved and gave me an "estimate" which turned out to be merely a statement of their minimum charges, took my credit card info, then refused to return any of my calls during or after the move. The moving crew showed up 3.5 hours late, complained about the amount of stuff and the number of stairs, took breaks whenever we weren't watching, and "lost" a few of our boxes. 4 times at least, I was told by the crew chief, "Oh, they may not have told you this over the phone, but..." (the 'surprise' that bothered me the most: a mysterious 5% surcharge for using a credit card). Even so the moving crew was more professional and polite than the "customer service". In the end BR overcharged me by 1.5 hours of labor ($150) (on top of the credit card and other surcharges); customer service finally agreed to refund the overcharge since the extra 1.5 hours of nonexistent labor was clearly a mistake, but yelled at me when I asked for a discount given the generally appalling experience. I would never use BR Movers again, even if they were the cheapest option - which they are not: their initial estimates are misleading and therefore low, but their actual cost is as much as or more than the other companies I priced out. Get an estimate from an honest company who will give you a free in-home estimate and explain their charges before you ever sign a contract - not a scam like this.

DO NOT USE BR MOVERS, , I REPEAT, DO NOT USE BR MOVERS, very deceptive and unprofessional. Never arrived on time for both moves. Needed to move and store my office contents for a short time. BR Movers moved my office contents, I stored them for three weeks, and when the new office location was ready, BR Movers moved my office contents from their storage to my new office location. Initially when the date was set to move the person was very nice. They were 1 1/2 late for the initial move. I was mislead about the cost of the move when I spoke to the sales person on the phone. This same person was rude when I called back to tell him I was ready to remove my items and move them to the new office location. Ronnie said he was offended that I found him to be miss leading and rude. After we had that discussion, I gave him the address of the new office location asked and reinforced that the move start at 6am. They did not arrive until 7:45am. The reason was clear, the wrong address was given to the driver and the delivery crew. Carlos the driver and his crew were very friendly and kind. They took their time with our office products. It is too bad to have to pays so much money for such poor service . DO not even consider this company!
Horrible Movers- Scam Artists

No integrity, no values...do not use these people. We are now on the phone- after our BR movers came and left trying to find new movers. We had 15 more boxes than the estimate but they wanted to charge us over 1000 dollars more than the estimate. I called the company and asked for Ron the owner who had assured me their estimates are totally accurate and other companies charge you more when they arrive. When I called I was told that Ron was out of the office and they couldn't do anything. The movers showed up 1 hr late and the obnoxious driver would not stay to allow us to settle the difference. I should have listened to the other reviews that were written. These people are were awful.. you do not want people with no integrity moving you. Our new movers said that the 15 more boxes should not change the estimate so drastically. Please be careful with who you choose- do not choose BR MOVERS.

SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF ANGER & FRUSTRATION – AVOID BR MOVERS. Quite simply, BR Movers was the WORST customer service experience I’ve ever had. Literally it seemed as if they were pro-actively trying to cause frustration, anger, and exasperation at every turn. BR employs very courteous and attentive sales women, who serve as the point of contact until the customer signs up. Unfortunately, every step of the actual move was a nightmare. Great job in sales, horrible job in execution. -Pick up for furniture: BR arrived later than agreed upon and the personnel were rude & not careful with my items. -Care of my items: BR damaged 1 piece of furniture & lost 2 boxes. When I raised this, they were patently unhelpful and uncooperative (indeed, their attitude is that I was somehow to blame for their losing & damaging items that were in their possession). -Delivery: BR would NOT commit to a delivery date and provided a 1 week window saying the delivery would happen sometime that week. They provided NO updates or estimates to help me plan for the delivery. I had to constantly call BR several times a day to know when the delivery would arrive. -Abysmal customer service: when I called to discuss the above issues, BR personnel were beyond rude & apathetic. They yelled at me repeatedly for inquiring about a delivery date or for checking to see if they found the boxes they had lost. They were unresponsive and often the phone would go un-answered. When it was answered, BR customer service personnel were often belligerent and always unhelpful. The entire attitude & experience is “lets get this customer to sign up – as soon as he or she signs up, we get a big deposit so it really doesn’t matter how crappy our service is. We have their money and their stuff so they cannot do anything”. SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF ANGER & FRUSTRATION – AVOID BR MOVERS.

We used BR-movers in Washington DC, although it was just a local move from one part of the state to the other. We are extremely happy with them. They came out and gave us a written estimate and explained that if the move takes less time, they would only charge us for the time it took. They charged us by the hour. Well, sure enough, the move took an hour less than predicted and they only charged us for the actual time. I would definitely recommend them. They also did a nice job of wrapping all furniture and worked extremely efficiently (i.e. didn't take a break until after they were completely done).

From the first phone call to the last moved box I am completely and fully satisfied with the professional service and attitude. I did not expect such a good service from a moving company because I've heard for so many terrible moving experience stories. BR Movers went beyond my expectations. I've used movers before. BR Movers had everything taken care of - from the packing and the packing materials to the can transportation. Jenny explained me everything in advance, very good communication. No damages or stolen items. All furniture packed very well. Definitely recommended by me!

I called BR-Movers on may 25th (somebody was actually there) with an emergency move. The movers I originally contracted never showed and called to inform us they were not showing so after going through some of my old emails and calling every one of them I finally got one of the old moving companies on the phone. Prosper was the owner and said he was there returning some calls told me he could have us picked up by the 27th or 28th with such short notice so I reserved because i had no other choice but to give it a shot and after seeing their BBB report figured it was o.k well.......The driver showed up on the 28th at 8:30 am and had our stuff loaded on the truck by 2:15 and was off. We followed the truck and movers to the weigh station and the estimate was under by 542 lbs. $228.90 came off the final bill and we were delivered 9 days later ( prosper said between 6 and 14 days) everything was above satisfactory nothing was broken, other than a small scratch on our entertainment cabinet and the price was under the quote. The movers really did come through and we owe them a lot. We highly recommend them and would use them again.

In my many experiences moving (Military brat, so you can imagine, quite a few) There has never been a movers company, except this one, that has worked so fast. They weren’t cheap, so that’s the downside, but they do offer free quotes on what the move will cost you. You will pay a bit, but if you want a fast, reliable company, this is the one for you. They do both local and long distance moving, so it doesn’t matter where your moving to (mine personally was somewhat local) They have a customer service line that will answer all your questions to the best of their professional ability. Two thumbs up for these movers!

Do NOT use BR Movers. They are very attentive and prompt at the initial stage when they are soliciting your business. The pickup wasn't atrocious, but our belongings were seriously damaged when they transferred from the pickup truck to the delivery truck, and they went beyond cutting corners by sending 2 men to do a 4-man job. We had to do half the work to unload, and our furniture didn't get assembled. After damaging some items and losing others, the customer service rep who so gleefully took my credit card number has been MIA and won't respond to any messages. This was a ripoff and a total nightmare. Go with Mayflower or someone you've heard of.

They came, doubled their estimate of the hours it would take, then told us they wouldn't take a personal check(we already knew there was a 5% surcharge for credit cards), when we finally agreed on paying CASH after talking to the owner, he decided he didn't like us and canceled the move. We had to find movers to come and move us that day itself. Its been a nightmare.
