We chose Delta Moving in August 2010 to move from VT to TX. That was a bad choice. They showed up with too small of a truck, Had to leave a few things behind, no biggie on that though. Guys doing the packing and loaded were OK. I think they were independent contractors. Problems started when they started pushing back on the promised dates of delivery and we went from 1 week to 4 before out things showed up at the new house in Texas. Upon arrival we noticed that things were not right. First off, our Mac Computer used in our business was missing as were some tools, kitchen wares and a few other boxes with stuff we still are trying to figure out what was in them. Mutiple pieces of furniture was broken or slightly damaged. about halfway through unpacking, it became apparant that many of our boxes had been opened and had been looked through. When they were advised that there were missing items, they changed the original moving forms for actual cash value replacement coverage to .^0 cents per pound, per item. Now for this Claims processing company that Delta uses. They owed me a status on 02May11. I call them at least once a week. No one will return a call. I am beginning to think only 1 of 2 people work in this bogus office and simply take messages. They will not place you on hold to speak to someone. This claims processing is a scam. I have contacted the FBI to investigate. There seems to be no other oversite from any State or Federal Agencies on these moving companies. In short, if you value your belongings, stay away from this company. They do not care about you and will steal you blind given the chance.

I used Delta to move cross country. They promised service and a timeline they did not follow through on. When my things finally arrived, there was extensive damage and my Bose speakers were missing. They referred me to the Claims Processing Center, their “independent” claim processer. After getting estimates, it would cost me about $3900 to repair the things they damaged (they broke the solid wood frame of my sofa and left gouges in just about every piece of furniture they moved). Despite dozens of calls and several letters, I still cannot get a response to my claim from Delta or the Claims Processing Center. I filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the NY State Attorney General. Stay away from this company!!

This company was horrific and should have their license revoked! They are a bunch of criminals! We were charged an additional $1800 and then received everything back damaged. We have approximately $15,000 worth of damages and these dirtbags can't even get on the phone with you. They only offer 60 cents per pound for insurance so my totally destroyed dining room table which would probably cost around $3,000 I would get a whopping $30 for, OUTRAGEOUS!!! We had always taken pride in our belongings and worked very hard to get them and to have someone you pay big money come in and treat you and your goods like garbage is such a violation that I can't even begin to find the words to decribe it. As the movers were bringing our goods into the house, broken, one after the other, my 11 year old daughter and I were sobbing at what was once beautiful furniture and now, nothing but garbage. We gave some of the pieces back to the delivery men and told them to give them to Nick and Susan so they can furnish their homes with this garbage. After all, garbage should be with garbage, right? Well this was a horrible experience and I am not quite done with them. I have contacted the Consumer Affairs Division, the BBB, Channel 7, 9 and 11 and have filed a complaint in every possible place I could. Next step will be legal counsel.

This company overcharged us $1800 for packaging supplies and then delivered everything damaged. They were rude and obnoxious on the phone, refused to help us. We have approximately $15,000 worth of damage. They are liars and thieves. NEVER, NEVER USE THEM!!!!! We have moved numerous times in the past and this was by far the worst company ever. We have already notified the Consumer Affairs Division, BBB, Channel 7, 9 and 11 in hopes that this dirty rotten company gets their license revoked!

They gave me a quote and took my deposit. I was told by that someone would call me on Sunday evening the 30th to let me know when my things would be picked up. NO ONE CALLED ME. I was told me that if I did not hear anything by 8:30 pm to call and someone would let me know what was going on, which I did. MY CALL WAS NOT RETURNED. I DID NOT RECEIVE A CALL UNTIL AFTER NOON. WE SPOKE BRIEFLY AND THEY WERE GOING TO CALL ME BACK, I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR A CALL FOR 5 HOURS, The fake company's dispatcher finaly called me today at 2pm which is 22 hours late and told me that he would call me at 3pm because the truck was not going to come today and he was going to let me know what was going on. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A CALL In the mean time, I've spoken to the actual Delta Moving company, I was never told that I was not actually dealing with Delta Moving or that they were using another company to move me, that the actual Delta Moving company had turned down the price that this sub company had quoted me. I thought that I was using Delta Movers. They completely MISLEAD ME. The actual Delta moving company has been very acomodating and will be picking my stuff up very soon with in the same day. PLEASE make sure of who you are talking to. This has been stupidly stressful.

The worst experience....came to pack and pick up on time...took FOREVER....two major pieces of furniture damaged...lost articles....CHECK everything before they leave and I sincerely doubt if they will stand behind any claims. Didn't show at new place...when called...said it wouldn't and maybe the next day...put off, rude and disrespectful on phone...then just wouldn't take any of my calls, promised over and over and didn't arrive until 3 days later..had no clothes and no where to sleep in a brand new town where I knew no one....when finally did arrive, the gentleman was the BEST...stayed way into the night and helped get things listed that were missing....he wouldln't leave until each box was opened....they surely won't stand behind anything if the mover leaves...make sure pictures are taken of damages and listed.....WAS BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did not show up on the day promised, than said they drove all night after doing two moves the previous day without any sleep. Said they would show up 1-2 am but still didn't arrive at the designated time when they finally showed up they had no equiptment to move the baby grand piano and stated there was not enough room on the truck for my things. I am still trying to gat a refund of my deposit.......next step file a claim with the courts.

This was the worst moving experience ever. I was given a quote, and several assurances by the initial representative when I first signed the contract. The contract looked legitimate and my one-bedroom apartment (not much stuff, a bed, dresser, couch, table, chairs, some boxes) was estimated at 2326 lbs. However, when the movers picked up my stuff, they estimated my final price based on the cubic feet (which was estimated at 332 but I used double that). My initial contract said "final price based on weight" but they did not weigh the truck after and did not tell me the final price until the movers were supposed to show up 10 minutes later to deliver. I got entirely ripped off. THey also moved my stuff in a tractor-trailor with 5 other loads. I signed the contract for exclusive delivery, which I was told meant only my stuff would be moved, however I was combined with these other loads and my stuff took longer than guaranteed to come. Then the semi-truck could not fit into my apartment complex (with VERY wide roads) and the lady tried to charge me extra costs. My parents had to help unload the boxes with the movers and had to pay them extra becasue of this. IT was the worst experience ever-we are filing federal complaints against this company-DO NOT USE THEM.

I had a very bad experience with this movers. The customer service was good at first, but after that it was very bad and they were rude. The movers who came to pick up items were very ncorporative, rude and in a rush to just finish up the pick up. The dispatch manager had promised that their company movers would de-assemble and pack all the items. But the movers who came didn’t do so and just packed the furniture’s in a very careless way in their blankets. The dresser, TV stand, TV & DVD in the TV box, end tables with coffee table were packed by them. They were also aware that there were valuable items in the dresser. In a rush he just asked us to check the items being picked up by them and sign the bill of lading. He then filled the details on “condition at origin” column. We were not aware of this column detail as he mentioned that it is only for company reference. We realized that he has written wrong comments in this column stating “packed by owner” only after discussing with the claim agent. Since all the furniture’s were damaged when they delivered our items, we opened the TV box to check the condition of the TV, right in front of the mover. The LCD TV & DVD were missing in the box and 4 blankets of the movers company were stuffed in the box.The mover admitted that it belonged to the company and informed about it to his dispatch manager.Hence we started checking if there are more items missing and found that the dresser which was completely filled was left almost empty. My wife is supposed to travel to abroad this April and hence we had done a lot of shopping. There were a lot of newly purchased cosmetics, perfumes, watches, jewelry & other valuables. Please dont go for this movers and do read the bill of lading before you sign. Never get the free storage, but if you take then have a good insurance to cover the loss. I made a mistake by chossing the low insurance rate and have paid penalty.
