JUST SAY NO TO OLYMPIC!!!!

Please do not use this moving company; it SUCKS!!!! Alfredo the salesman is warm, fuzzy and friendly; when it comes to customer service . . . He ducks and hides. The move was absolutely horrible; on arrival I was provided with documents differing from the set I received via email; and of course the price was HIGHER; after repeated telephone calls; resolution was provided. The furniture did not arrive as promised; several items were missing and damaged; I even received items belonging to someone else; even after repeated telephone calls and emails from the claims adjuster Olympic has not sent anyone to pick up the items belonging to another customer; I moved in June it is now February. The move was subcontracted and the delivering movers appeared to be people hired off the street; I could go on and go but I won't as I have one final review to file and that is with the BBB. Please do your homework and do not use this company.

Stay away from these people. The quote doesn't mean anything. It will be double or tipple once they start packing everything. I got ripped off and all the positive comments are posted by staff itself. You won't be able to deal with them after they have loaded everything in the truck. Don't even bother asking for quote if you really need to save money and your stuff.

Moved this past Friday and I had an awesome experience with Olympic Moving! I had a 4 man crew and they arrived 10 minutes early, they were scheduled to move us out by 7:00 a.m. My fiancé and I had selected things we wanted moved and they didn't have a problem with that. I went to Starbucks to get them a breakfast sandwich and they didn't even stop to eat. They were fast, efficient and HARD working! We moved out of a small one bedroom apartment and my fiancé had a storage unit at Public Storage. They moved us into our third floor, two bedroom condo. We had some heavy furniture (sofa bed) and they moved everything with ease. They were done with everything in about 4 hours and we appreciated everything they did for us. I highly recommend Olympic Moving and we will use them again when we move :)

I called the day before the scheduled move to make sure the move for my 55 year old mother went smooth and was assured that everything would. I live in Atlanta and she is in Chicago. The day of the move the movers never showed up. Noone ever called and we couldnt get in touch with anyone. The next day I was able to speak with John who responded by saying "they should have at least given you a courtesy call but I'll get to the bottom of this and call you back". Well it's been two weeks and still no callback. Just imagine your entire house being packed and the movers dont show. You're elderly and cant lift a thing. This is the headache I experienced and was ready to drive 10 hours to help my mother move until I got lucky and found another company at the last minute. I wouldnt recommend this company to my worst enemy..

I was stressed out with all the stuff that came out of our closets, garage, and cabinets. They packed everything down to our files in our cabinets, nothing was damaged or scratched. I have very heavy wood furniture; they wrapped everything and packed it well. It took 6.5 hours to pack, drive to our new home and unpack everything. If you want to make your move easier on you and your family, HIRE THESE GUYS! They did an excellent job. :-)

After a decent start - the quotation and pickup in the Chicago area in March 2008, nothing went right for the rest of my mom's move to Denver. We are all very upset by the lack of service and concern at Olympic Moving. We still can't get a real response from the company on our range of service issues.

I always say there's a sucker born every minute. Well I have finally been suckered. This is the worst company imaginable. Please read all the reviews I wish I had. They picked up my furniture on June 13th 09 and it still hasn't arrived after I was promised the date of 6/19. They told me they had 10 days after the promise date. Then after the 10 days they said they meant to say 10 business days. The movers lie when they get there and you if you don't speak spanish watch out. I was quoted 875.00 and then add ons began after the movers arrived charging for tape, bubble wrap, and plastic wrap and oh don't forget the 25.00 boxes. This was the biggest bait and switch I have ever seen. After they were done packing the truck they said I was 840 lbs over because they could "tell" by looking at the amount in the truck. I told them I wanted the weight ticket . I was told to call the office on Monday. It's funny they are convieniently closed on Sat. when most people do the moves. If anyone wants to contact me for a class action law suit I am with you. lilsher082@yahoo.com something has to be done about this company. I really can't say what the out come will be. They are late now I just hope they will arrive soon with minimal breakage. After reading all the negative reviews I have learned that everything needs to be checked out. Please Please I beg of you don't be sucked in by the nice customer service. You won't hear from them again after your furniture is picked up. They will tell you whatever you want to hear just to get the business. Then they won't answer the phone afterwards. I'm sure they have caller ID and they probably get comission. All those positive reviews are fake. Maybe they are local and just going a few miles down the road for a same day move. I have been told over and over that my furniture hasn't even left Chicago because they have to wait on a truck going south. Ahhh. I can just scream for being taken in like this.

Olympic moving is a Chicago based moving company which delivers fantastic services. I recently had a move with them from Indiana to Chicago. Olympic moving helped me with everything. They were professional and well spoken. They helped me box my belongings, and take apart big objects ,such as beds and nightstand. Olympic reassembled everything once in Chicago. The price was very reasonable, and also very close to the estimate. All the materials and the dissembling cost me 75 dollars which i think is phenomenal for a Chicago based moving company. Thanks so much Olympic!

This is the worst moving company ever!!! If you don't want your belongings smashed or missing then don't use Olympic Moving! They smashed our curio cabinet and 31" television but worse than that $1000.00 of items came up missing. We have been trying to resolve all of these issues with their third party adjusters but they won't reply back to our letters or phone calls. This has been going on since September of 2008. These people should be in jail or deported!

For $1450 i was able to have a move done from Chicago Illinois to Texas. I had a 2 bedroom house. I called other places in Chicago which wanted to charge me way over $3000!!! Olympic gave me the best deal by far! I couldn't have chosen a better company. The sales reps were friendly, the movers were fast, hard working, polite, and gentle with everything! The sales rep Zula was one of the nicest person i have ever talked to she made my move so much less hectic and stressful. Thank god for Olympic!

I moved from Indiana to Illinois just a week ago. The movers arrived early in the morning; they packed and loaded my belongings in a timely fashion. The movers were extremely professional as well very cautious with my fragile items. I received the delivery 2 days later with the same crew that picked up my belongings. The move from start to finish went very smooth with no surprises. The cost of the move was EXACTLY what was quoted to me originally down to the penny. I was very pleased with the service and will definitely use them again the future as well as recommend them to my friends and family.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE MOVING THAT ONE COULD IMAGINE. THE INCOMPETENCE AND DECEIPT IS UNIMAGINABLE. I WAS QUOTED ONE PRICE AND ONCE THEY LOADED IT BECAME 75% MORE. I PACKED IT ALL, BUT THEY CHARGED ME FOR PACKING MATERIAL. THEY WERE SEVERAL HOURS LATE AND THEY SPENT OVER 6 HOURS (UNTIL 3:30 AM) LOADING, MOSTLY JUST TALKING. IF YOU WANT TO EXPERIENCE NIGHTMARES THEN I HIGHLY RECOMMEND USING THIS COMPANY. IF YOU WANT TO MAINTAIN YOUR INTEGRITY THEN DON'T DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY

Olympic did a fantastic job they were very affordable and very curtious. the only problem i had was that they showed up a little late but that was ok. the movers were very professional. and the sales team couldn't have been any more informative.

I agree with most of the rest of the comments about Olympic. They use bait and switch tactics. Gave me a quote when I ordered the move, but then when the movers showed up they started charging everything extra. Most importantly they lost an expensive and personally meaningful painting I owned. In addition they damaged several items. The claims process has thus yielded zero follow-up and I have been at it for 3 months. I will never use this company again.

What a horrible company. I watched my night stand fall off of the truck. I watched a floor lamp get drenched in rain. I fed the packers lunch and dinner. Once items delivered, the driver would not stay around while unpacking to verify items. He essentially threw items off of the truck. I paid for set up of my beds and other furniture, the driver said no. I had to pay someone else to do all of the set up and to put furniture back together (ie. coffee tables, dining room table.). As I am going the items after the driver rudely left I noticed an item that did not belong to me. This was someones very personal information - applications to med school. All of her addresses, ID's. What an unfortunate opportunity for ID theft on the part of Olympic. When I called the company I had to wait for someone to come pick up the plastic container and was told that I had to repackage it because it wasn't shippable. When I found out that some of my items were missing I was told they couldn't be verified that I actually had the items because the number of china bowl wasn't listed, the box was just listed as china - did I really have 15 bowls? Also, I have 4 sofa table legs - no top. They said, did I really have a sofa table. My response - no I just bought the legs. Numerous items were damaged. The company offered me $200. The sofa table itself was worth more that $200.00. They also wanted me to have their offer notarized and said that both my husband and I must sign. My husband was in a different state. I would have had to pay to have my signature. notarized and then mail to my husband for him to pay and have his signature notarized. What a joke. Oh, also upon delivery, the payment had to be by postal money orders which I had to pay for. I guess the driver wouldn't have to claim this as income on his taxes! Please do your homework before going with any moving company - especially -OLYMPIC MOVING & STORAGE.

I moved to San Francisco a year ago and have had many problems with Olympic! They quoted me a price and after loading everything on the truck the price significantly increased and they wanted all the money at that time. They delivered my things by another third party company and when I unpacked many of my things were broken! A stainless steele colander was turned inside out! Completely blatant that they kicked things around. It took me a year to get the adjusters to finally send the papers tyo settle my claim of which they were only going to give me $102 for all my damages stating that I didn't unpack everything in front of the movers so I couldn't prove it wasn't already broken! What a joke! Worst of all I finally receive a check a few weeks ago for $102 and I had to get it notarized which cost me $10 and then the check bounced and my bank charged me $19 so I am out even more money than before! Unbelievable!! I hope worse things for that company and the people associated with them than just bankrupcy!!!!!!

Olympic Moving and Storage is a joke. When they finally arrived with our stuff, over a week late, many things were broken or lost. Not only that, but another company actually brought our stuff. Totally shady company that will give you the run-around on the telephone. We were sub-contracted out to this company (probably the only way they stay in business). Be wary of movers that sub-contract. I hope, nay pray, this company goes bankrupt soon.
SO AWFUL. Should be investigated by the attourney general.

I concur with all the statements above. we hired them for a cross country move, it was the worst experience of my life. honestly. my belongings were a month late (yes, that's right, i slept on a floor for a month, had no kitchen supplies, and wore the same three outfits), about 3/4 of my things were damaged and broken, and they attempted to charge me double after the fact. I went through visa and was only refunded the extra money after visa investigated and threatened legal action. the movers are dirty, rude and speak no english. they break everything and make a mess. stay far away from this business.

Stay away from this moving company or should I say thief. They quoted me one thing but when they loaded my items they called me back with a different price that exceeded twice as much. They are liars and to make it worst customer service sucks they never answer the phone or return your phone calls. Please stay away from this moving company, they are rip offs all they want is your money once they have your stuff they will not deliver until you pay what they want!

This company packed part of my items in one truck. They then took two days to come back and get the remaining items. They left trash in my hard and their moving materials in my home. They called me two days later and said my things were overweight and had no idea when they would be delivered. No one is returning my calls and I am still waiting for my things. Stay away from this place.

This moving company made my move a nightmare! They added costs at the last minute, and the final quote exceeded the original by more than $1K! The movers weren't that gentle with the furniture, and to add insult to injury, the 3 movers all used my toilet and left streak marks AFTER my toilet brush had already been moved. Maybe a small thing, but it summarizes my feelings about the move. I would have paid this moving company to leave me alone.

I picked Olympic Moving and Storage because they gave me the lowest price quote. AFTER completely loading the truck with all of my belongings, the final price was 50% more than what they quoted me. Movers barely spoke English.

They quote low prices and promise the world but add numerous last minute charges. Delivery time is a range of 14 days without notice. Furniture delivered damaged. Many problems with actual delivery. I would have been better using a major moving company instead of a broker. Olympic was a problem form start to finish. Be very careful with added charges.
